“A
nice balance of upbeat tunes and darker ballads...sumptuous harmonies throughout,
exceptional musicianship, tasteful
arrangements, and the production is
most impressive.”
Armin Heurich (WBVR)
“The songs are all well written, I love the
vocal delivery and bluegrass instrumentation,
and the production is superb.”
Allan Watkiss (UK Country Radio)
“A mix of bluegrass and alt-country, with no concessions made...highly
recommended.”
Gerrit Vermeij (Muzikvienster, Netherlands)
“The Good Intentions have raised the bar for second albums...the authentic
instrumentation
and old timey feeling of this CD harkens back
to a simpler time...there is not a bad song on
this CD...Peter Davies deserves to be mentioned
as a songwriter in the same breath as Phil Lee, John Prine and Kevin Welch...hopefully
this
CD will give them the exposure they deserve.”
Andy Ziehli (Americana Gazette)

The Good Intentions travelled down to London on the 23rd October to attend
the BCMAwards ceremony. Having been nominated for Best Americana Act for 2011
they were up against some great and well established acts. Not thinking they
had much of a chance they took the opportunity to be part of the gathering
and make some new friends in the UK country music scene. Much to their surprise
they were pronounced winners, proudly received their award and were, later
in the evening, part of a photo session with some of the UK's Country Music
elite.

The Good Intentions have been nominated for Americana Act of the Year for

such fine British bands as Redlands Palomino Co. and Two Fingers Of Firewater.
