The Good Intentions were formed from its members' prior bands, Quatrain and Q, at the end of 2003. Following the positive reception of their demo release in 2006, TGI decided to take the plunge, and their debut album was released in the early summer of 2008. Peter, Gabi and Frank, the three original members of the band, have all crossed musical paths before. R.P Davies, who wrote all the songs for their debut album, has been writing songs and playing in bands for many years. Peter finds The Good Intentions' acoustic style and attention to vocals, the perfect setting for his songs. In the spring of 2009, the bands fourth member, Scott Poley joined The Good Intentions, bringing with him his skills as a professional musician and the sounds of pedal steel, mandolin and electric guitar.
