The Story So Far

In 2005 The Good Intentions recorded a four- track demo CD with the help of Sack The Cat Studios in Liverpool. The CD, which began distribution in the early part of 2006, was meant as a tool to get the band a bit of attention and a few bigger gigs. To that end, the demo was sent to various venues, websites and radio stations. Following a review on Americana UK, the band began to receive requests from radio stations for a copy of the demo, so that they could play it on their shows and podcasts. The music’s stripped down and slightly unpolished sound got quite a bit of favourable attention, and The Good Intentions started to get some bigger gigs at home. To encourage further contacts and new friendships around the world, The Good Intentions set up a MySpace site.

One contact Peter has made is Charlie McGovern of Boronda Records in California. After some discussions, Charlie decided to try a "trans-Atlantic'’ experiment. The band did some recording in the UK and then the tracks were sent to California, where Charlie added his own sessions musicians, and has now completed the final production.

The results of this endeavour is the next chapter in The Good Intentions' story. The album is now released and available on this website, also on MySpace, ITunes, Boronda Records and by contacting us directly.
